This herbal limeade is another recipe we like to keep on hand for summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use just about any herb you like, but cilantro and mint partner particularly well with fresh lime.  Together, they produce an intense, vibrant flavor touched by the delicate sweetness of honey. You can use standard limes, key limes, or even lemons. While fresh juice tastes best, you can easily swap in bottled lime juice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Honey<\/strong> tempers the acidity of the limes and lends sweetness and delicate floral notes. If you're not a fan of honey, you can use any sweetener you like. Liquid sweeteners and syrups work best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fresh herbs<\/strong> add a clean, green note.  You can use any leafy green herb. Cilantro, mint, and parsley are some of my favorites.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-recipe-tips\">Recipe Tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><strong>For the best flavor, use the freshest herbs<\/strong>&nbsp;you can find<\/span>. Avoid any that are limp, brown, or dried out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adjust the sweetness<\/strong> to your liking. This limeade is lightly sweet, but you can easily add more honey (or less) depending on your preferences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of blending the ingredients in a blender, you can <strong>juice the herbs in a slow juicer<\/strong> and then mix in the herb juice (also known as succus) with lime juice, water, and honey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The limeade's color is a beautiful, vivid green. But its beautiful color will fade and turn a muddy olive green within about a day, so <strong>use it quickly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use a fine mesh strainer<\/strong> to strain the lemonade.
